Export to Google Photos/Picasaweb Plugin - Create new album button missing?

Mitz
Hi all

I am using Digikam 5.5 on Mac OS Sierra. For some reason when I go to Export -> Export to Google Photos/PicasaWeb, the create new album button is missing. I can successfully upload photos to existing albums but I cannot create new albums on upload. I have tried to contact the plugin author but didn't receive a response.  Does anyone have any suggestions here?

Thanks

Say thanks to Google. Google has enabled a new API, creating albums is now no
longer possible. Read this bug report:

Indeed.

Also if you go to the "Photos" page via the web browser you can't just
create a new, empty album.

A workaround I've found is to upload a "dummy" photo via the web
browser, then create a new album with it, and finally delete the dummy
photo, so you have a new empty album which you can select in DK to
upload the photos you want.

Annoying, but worked when I tried it a few days ago.
